Apartment Review for Camden - Costa Mesa, CA

I rented this dreadful dive at the end of April 2010. I will break the lease to get away. The following things are absolutely true: There are loud all night parties, drugs deals, screaming and fighting all night, assaults, and, yes, a double murder a few weeks ago. Drunks urinate off of the balconies and talk loudly how they are beating their urind drug screens with their probation officers. There are reports of rapes and there are some very sketchy people wandering aroung the grounds on a daily basis. The police are called there just about every night. The tow trucks sit like vultures and haul away their carrion every day. I believe there is collusion in this between the office staff and the towing comnpanies. The leasing agents are friendly and promise anything until you sign and then it is like to hell with you. The maintenance guys walk right in to your apartment. The parking is atrocious, the staff are barbaric barracudas. If you are a parent, do not rent this for your kid. If you need to sleep at night, stay away. If you are a future late-stage drug addict and a revolving door detox client, come on down. Pardon the expression but this place has bad vibes, terminal death vibes. Any positive reviews you may read are probably written by Camden's leasing agents hoping to lure the unsuspecting and the uninitiated into biting on the hook.
