Apartment Review for Sea Pointe Villas - Costa Mesa, CA

My family and I have lived here from 2003 until now 2007 and it has been disappointing. The complex itself has the ability to be a nice one because of it's location and amenities IF it had decent managment, which is does not.

Management consist of an old lady who will let just about anyone move in as long as she can keep the units filled. She can often be found standing out front chain smoking and when she is inside the office you can find her involved in a spirited game of solitare on her computer because she has so much time on her hands seeing that she is not enforcing any rules or addressing the double parking that is so bad you can hardly get your car out of your stall or the trash and old discarded furniture that fills the bins to overflow weekly or the loud parties that go on all hours of the night. We have found that as long as the rent is in on time that is pretty much the extent of her concern, oh yeah you can always count of getting the lastest gossip about all your neighbors and their business when she is not telling yours. Very unprofessional. Also be prepared to be nickeled and dimed to death.

Maintinance is a joke. He is a young kid who brings his dog to work who does NOT have the skills to fix things properly so you will be having it "fixed" time and time again without remedy until you just give up and live with the problem like we have had to until we move.

We have lived here through drug raids, sheriffs looking for fugitives, nude fistfights, a burning car that managment allowed to sit on the property burnt out for a month before it was towed, oh yeah and let's not forget about the broken gates that guests reach through and touch the wires together to gain access .

As I said location and amenity wise it could be a nice place to live but without the proper managment it will continue to go down hill as it has over the past few years. really sad.
