Apartment Review for Villa Siena (Costa Mesa) - Costa Mesa, CA

What a nightmare. Manager could care less about anything. She is unprofessional, worthless, and involved in criminal activity. This apartment complex belongs to Bre Properties. I can't believe the Bre management is not aware of the illegal activity when it comes to rental deposits. They flat out lie, document it, and ignore any documents or phone calls sent to them. I am going to have to take them to small claims court to get my $800.00 deposit back. I'm so glad I am smart enough to take pictures before I moved in and after I moved out. What they may be surprized about is that the former tenant can be awarded other monies due to their actions. I can't imagine how many tenants they rip off. You would think there would be some kind of investigation, by now. I have to say that, probably, most tenants are so happy to be out of that place, they may not care. Don't let the appearance of what looks like security gates. They never worked and several of the tenants and "visitors" just climb over them. They have so many people living in 1 apartment it's ridiculous. Never any peace and quite...kids on skateboards and running around unsupervised. I wondered about my safety with some of the characters hanging around at night. Parking is a joke. I had to park on the other side of the complex. Good luck if you have a visitor. Actually, they had my daughter's car towed illegally and had to reimburse her for the fees. They must have something going with one of the local towing companies. I would sit and watch one tow truck after another come and go hauling vehicles behind them. The trucks would go down the street with a vehicle, stop, and properly hook it up after towing it a ways. I had such an ant problem....they couldn't tell me what day of time an exterminator would come, so I couldn't arrange to be there for my dog. I went to sleep most nights listening to the gnawing of what I'm sure were rodents in the walls. One night I saw a large rat run past the door of the apartment across from mine. There are laundry facilities; not enough. They are not well kept and are extremely hot to be in. Believe me. You do not want to live in this place. It's amazing how much rent they ask for, for this dump. Trust me. Don't be fooled into believing that things will be different with you.
