Apartment Review for Villa Venetia - Costa Mesa, CA

Oh, how I wished I would've read this review page before moving in. Don't make our mistake! To break the lease, you have to pay 2 1/2 times your monthly rate!!! That is how they keep you. Now where to start with the list of bad things here... 1. Dogs barking all the time here! 2. Ceiling cardboard thin! But some people might not mind listening to upstair neighbors, talk, take showers, use the toilet, have sex, watch TV, listen to stereos and walking all day and sometimes all night. Also, you are treated to listening to the upstair folks barrel down the stairs along with all their friends. 3. Lots of young and old people like to party here! That means when they come home at 1-3AM, they are yelling, slamming doors and let's not forget we need to do this with radios blasting and setting off their alarms and horns accidently. Strange, I seem to have the noise sitution under control when I come home late. 4.Plumbing problems galore here! I've had my toilet, shower, garbage disposal, bathroom sink, kitchen sink all break at least twice and I've only been here 6 months already. But management says this is not bad!?! Talk to the plumbers that have come to my unit at 4:00AM and they will they you horror stories about this place. 5. They make you pay for water, sewer, trash, heating of the water and a service charge on top of it. So in a 1 bedroom, you are looking at about $60 extra dollars a month. What do you get? Well, you get really bad water pressure that you can't control, hot water that scalds you at night, cold water during the day, piles and piles of trash (you've never seen this much trash or the vermins who love it) also, we have homeless people wandering on the property trash digging. 6.Just today, they said no more bar-b-ques on patios or balcony. No gas, charcoal, or electric grilling or even storing on patios and balconies is allowed. Well, that is news to everyone here, because just about everyone has a grill on their patio or balcony. 7. They force you to pay online. No checks are accepted. Now I like online bill paying but I like having a choice even better and these people are the last people I want to have more personal information on me. 8. The leasing office is the only place that got any money spent on it, not the apartments themselves. 20 coats of paint, cheap carpet, old appliances, mold in the bathroom when I moved in... Anyway, I could go on and on, but you get the point. Don't live here.!!!!!!
