Nice grounds, but don't be fooled; it's just a fac

We got fooled into thinking these were actually luxury aparments. They're anything but luxurious. They don't have any amenities other than a pool; no work out room, no business center, and they don't cover any utilities. The insulation is horrid in our apartment; we pay an average of $140 a month for electric alone to try to keep this place cool (thermostat is at 76). It's gone as high as $250 in the summer. Part of that is due to our AC unit being built in the stone age. Our ceiling has leaked and been fixed numerous times, our water heater and garbage disposal have gone out, their aging cable infrastructure causes problems with HD and digital signals. Also, they've had a lot of problems with theft lately, but they're not doing a thing about it. The car in the carport behind mine got broken into a few months ago and they blamed him for not hiding his GPS. Then mine got broken into just a couple months later. One tenant's apartment got completely cleaned out by thieves last month. They refuse to spend any money to help protect our property, but they have no problem raising rent every year even though it's already ridiculously high. We'll be leaving in another 6 months or so and it won't be soon enough. Steer clear of this place. Update: Before we moved out they never showed for our scheduled walkthrough. They charged us the full amount they could, almost $600 for the three year old carpet and another $135 for a "pet scan and treatment" but they refused to show us any pictures. We had no way of correcting any issues because they never notified us of any issues. If you do some Googling you'll see this sort of shady business practice is common for Arnel and Wimbledon Glen tenants. If you live here, don't expect to get your deposit back, no matter what. Shame on you Arnel and shame on you Wimbledon Glen. |
